In a year in which politics as we know it seemed to disintegrate and way too many legendary musicians died, thankfully there was still lot of incredible music to come out of Far Out. Nomade Orquestra spread their musical message to the rest of the world, Azymuth rose from the ashes to record their first album in five years, Joyce Moreno tore up the real book with Cool, and The Far Out Monster Disco Orchestra continued to be remixed to perfection. Here’s a selection of some, but by no means all of the very best tunes to have come out of the label in 2016.
